Come and enjoy wide open scenic trail riding routes just minutes away from Vancouver, BC.
What if I arrive late for my ride?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled ride. This allows time for waivers, helmets, and a short lesson to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. If you arrive late and miss your lesson, we cannot delay the ride, and you may unfortunately miss your ride. Late arrivals impact safety, scheduling, and the well-being of our horses and other riders, so please plan extra time for traffic and parking.
Do I need prior riding experience?
No prior experience is needed. All rides include a short lesson at the ranch so beginners can feel confident.
What should I wear?
Wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and bring sun protection or a rain jacket depending on weather.
Can children ride?
Children 6–9 ride ponies with a guide and walker on the Scenic Trail Adventure. Riders must be 10 years of age or older to participate in the Extended Scenic Ranch Experience, as this ride is longer and more demanding and is best suited to confident riders.
What if it rains?
Rides go ahead in light rain. In severe weather, we may reschedule (see our policy below).
Where does the ride start and end?
Rides start at our ranch for a lesson and horse introduction, then guests follow the ranch trailer to the trailhead. All rides end at the trailhead.
Are tips included?
Tips are optional. QR code is available at check-in and on the ranch trailer for easy electronic tipping.
How long is the experience?
NOTE: Ride times and routes may vary depending on weather, trail conditions, and horse wellbeing.
Can my child ride with me on the same horse?
No. For safety and insurance reasons, children cannot ride on the same horse as a parent. Each rider must ride independently.
Can younger children ride independently?
Children ages 6–9 are ponied by a guide. This means your child is led on their own horse for the ride by an experienced guide. This is an insurance requirement – no exceptions.
Why are some children ponied?
It ensures the safety of young riders while allowing them to enjoy the ride with proper supervision.
Is there a weight limit for riders?
Yes. For the safety and comfort of both riders and horses, all riders must weigh no more than 240 lbs. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Are helmets required?
Helmets are mandatory for all riders up to age 19. Adults may choose not to wear a helmet, but they must sign an additional waiver. For everyone’s safety, we highly recommend helmets for all riders, regardless of age.
What safety equipment is required?
Helmets (as above) and closed-toe shoes are required for all riders. Long pants are recommended for trail rides.
Can parents or other non-riding guests attend?
Parents of younger children may attend on the ground, but all riders must follow safety rules.
Are there age restrictions for riders?
Children ages 6–9 are ponied by a guide. Riders 10 and up must be able to handle a horse safely for the duration of the ride.
Are waivers required?
Yes. All riders must have a signed waiver, witnessed at the ranch, before participating in any ride. We provide the waiver prior to your ride.
